Owner Biographies

Steve Swails, Indy South Publisher, has been a newspaper executive for nearly 25 years working with The Indianapolis Star, Madison (WI) Newspapers Inc., Johnson County (IN) Daily Journal, as well as community newspapers in Dubuque, IA and Marietta, GA.  Steve started his career in Memphis, TN with USA Today after graduating from the University of Mississippi.

John Mayhill has been involved in Indianapolis area publishing for nearly 30 years.He was the founding publisher of Indianapolis Monthly, Indianapolis Business Journal (IBJ), Cash Book Magazine, Indianapolis Weekly Update, the Indianapolis Register, and Senior Times.

Brian Knoderer has owned several successful franchises since 1993 including a Money Mailer direct mail advertising franchise, Town Planner (a localized community calendar publication), and is currently a partner with Sunbelt Indiana Business Resource, the largest Business Brokerage firm in Indiana. He has also held the position of Regional vice-president of Franchise sales and development for Prime Hospitality and Director of Franchise Sales for Choice Hotels.
